ok so 3 months into this ranger 8.8 mod wit 5.13 and stock ls and the spiders are gaped appart and worn down giving alot of play in the wheels.the jobs been done at a shop i just need to know if thats a common issue or if im getting frawked.plus he said theres no such thing as hardened springs for a lockright d35 ttb couse there junk

You did replace the LS clutches , right ? Sounds like the clutches are worn out.

May also sound silly but when you put it together. you did put the additive in the oil right?

If not you may have worn the clutches out already.

Got a way to take a picture of them? I would like to see it.

The spider gears in 8.8's do have a tendency to gall up and chip apart, but this will not cause excessive play in the axle.

As stated worn l/s clutches will cause this however.
