Hi all

I just discovered the other night that with thw heels jacked up off the ground, by pulling and pushing on the wheel, I can move it inwards and outwards about 1/2 an inch :shok: What do you think is causing this? I can only imagine it may be worn c clips or a broken S spring in my trac lok :icon_confused: Anybody have any input? looks like i'll be tearing it apart this weekend.

Probably some wore on the pin for the spiders but mostly worn axle shafts mine was the same way when i built it a few months ago the ends of the shafts were worn. Mine still goes fine with no problem so i wouldn't worry with it

You sure its a half inch?? That's an awful lot of play... :icon_confused:

Some play (up to about 1/8") is normal. It comes from wear of the clutches in your limited slip diff (rebuilding the L/S will get rid of most of the play).
