8.8 front axle

i have been doing research and found that ford did make a 8.8 front axle. It listed for 97 f150 but also listed that ford made a 8.8 IFS axle for the Explore sport trac. I know they should bolt up if the sport trac is on the same frame.

I broke my front axle though I should upgrade. I do know everyone will say go I beam or solid axle. Dont what that.

I found a lot of reverse cut gears for the 8.8 but cant find the whole differential for it to see if the mounts line up. If this all works then 8.8 front and rear would make a strong truck.

after calling around and look in the yards the only 8.8 IFS axles come in f150 and a ford expedition. But the mounting points are bigger but close the same
