8.8 28 spline air locker help

97 ford ranger extra cab 4.0 v6 manual. swapped out my 2 piece rear drive line with carrier bearing with the 98 ford ranger rear one piece drive line. love it. now im looking into a rear air locker. i have the 8.8 28 spline rear axle. 3.73 gear ratio. im new to the air locker and dont even know where to look for one for my truck. know of any sites that i can find one for my truck? also life and body lift on there way so im going bigger tires and going to the 4.10 gear ratio. please help me find a good one. kits or a site i can find it all. thank you

You need to take a look around the tech library to get an idea on what's available. You should also take a look in the RBVs under construction to see what some others have done.

I have a 4 cylinder and found an axle on craigslist that had a eaton posi it for a great price with 4.10s. If you want to wheel with bigger tires, you'll probably want to look into a 31 spline 8.8 for the rear.

Google is your friend. I searched " Ford 8.8 28 spline ARB " and tons of websites came up. Expect to pay close to $1000 from any random vendor.

American Muscle is a good site for gears and install kits. It's a Mustang site but that doesn't matter really.
