75 f150 dash into a 89 ranger

so i really hate my dash in my ranger and i know where i could get a couple of 75ish ford f150 dashes. So i was thinking i could take one of them and slice and dice the hell out of it and reform it a little to go in my ranger. im five hours away from the f150s right know so does anyone have any ideal how much i would have to narrow the dash to fit?

well see its not that my dash is in that bad of shape its just that i hate the style of it. to much friggin plastic for me.

wtf the 2nd gens have the nicest dashes out of all the rbv's imo... if you think that's too much plastic, i guess you cant stand to be in any vehicle of the last 20 years?

Do it! I love classic dash swaps... been thinkin about doing one in my truck... I like to have everything metal. It will take time and fab work though, but if you're willing to put that into it, it will turn out great.

And zuki... no... 3rd and up dashes are much more better looking.

yea pretty much the interiors of anything newer than 1980 suck in my opionion but im rebuilding a 59 ford f100 too so im used to the metal dashes. and yes i know it will take a lot of fab work but its either that or a plate metal prerunner style one.
