7' Bed

I know people just say "it can't be done" and leave it at that for a bed swap, 7' in place of a 6'. Can I get someone who has a 7' bed to measure from the front to the wheel and back to the wheel for me?
It isn't going to be a bolt on procedure to swap these out, but it would be one thing on my truck that makes it mine. Besides I need some extra room to store some gear in the bed (can't usually fit the gf in the cab).

Measurement at widest part of wheel opening is 26" from the front and 28" from the rear.

Actually, what do you mean by the widest part of the opening? Is it from the bottom, could you tell me how far up or down from the crease in the bed side?

Thanks simpleman, looks like a major mod to do this but not impossible. Does anyone know of a place that could make fiberglass bed sides with a custom spaced wheel well?
Looks like I’m going to have to check out some storage options before I try this, though I still may try.
