I have a 1990 B2 with the 7.5" rear, 3.73, open diff, ABS. I came across a 7.5" Traction-Lock diff from a Mustang.

I'm looking to swap the Traction-Lock diff into my B2's rear, and keep the B2's ring & pinion in there. If the diff will fit, I figure all I should have to do is swap the exciter ring (abs) and ring gear, and then just set up the backlash and check the contact pattern. It's a lot easier than messing with pinion depth & pinion preload.

The million-dollar question is...does the 7.5" Traction-Lock diff from the Mustang fit into the B2 7.5" rear? Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!

That's what I figured, but wasn't sure. Thanks for the info. I'll do a write-up when I get finished. May take a while, though.
