i got a 88 ranger 7.5 swapped to a 94 8.8 the driveshaft flange is to small to fit the 8.8 pinion what driveshaft flange do i need to hook up correctly

You need one from a 90+ Ranger, it will be a 1310 large pattern flange. Spicer part number 2-2-1379.

Or drill it out like I did with my old shaft.

just use a rear flange from a truck w/ an 8.8

I also heard that you run the flange off the driveshaft too from what the 8.8 came out of and put it on your current one with the special ujoint that is said above.

I've been over this many times, it doesn't need to be from an 8.8, all 90+ 7.5s and 8.8s use the large pattern flange. Watch out for Explorer flanges, the one I had was a 1330 joint, rangers should be 1310.

I think there was a Mustang flange that used the smaller pattern, otherwise you need a new shaft to fit the bigger pattern. I drilled and tapped mine though.

If you have a yoke output on the t-case, the flange from the front output of a different t-case will convert it over to the right pattern flange.
