Alright so I'm doing a 302 swap and installing 33s or 35s soon. Is it worth the extra work for the 31 spline explorer rear over just bolting in a 28 spline ranger 8.8? It will be limited slip.

right well thats what i mean by extra work.
where do i get the new perches and shock tabs? and do i just weld the new perches on exactly 180 degrees from the old ones or i need to set the pinion angle dont i?

It's definitely worth it.
You'll need to set the pinion angle, but it's easy. You can find the perches online or make your own.

alright i guess i just loosely bolt it up with a fresh perch that isnt welded yet, play with it till i get the right angle, tack it, and then get it professionally welded? (i dont trust my flux cored welds haha)
