8.8 parts won't work with a 7.5....hence the difference in numbers. Swap in the 8.8 its much better!

an 8.8 from a mustang will require a welding on leaf spring plates and shock mounts, don't know about brake issues that might show up...

I've got a 7.5 I could pull the spiders from if you want.

Don't quote me on it but he might have to torch off the coil pads and the WMS to WMS measurement might be different too....requiring wheel spacers or extention of one or both tubes and using axle shafts from a Ranger/Explorer 8.8.

Like I said though I know less about Mustangs than I do about Rangers soo....

I only know what little info I do know from when I looked into buying a shelby gt 500 8.8 from my uncle. The axle was the wrong width, had pads and shock mounts that needed to come off, disc brakes and the wrong gear ratio. Long story short I couldn't get it cheap enough to justify the work/benefits.

ok so i looked on the net and im pretty sure the mustang rear end is wider or really close the axle i have is from an 88 or 89 mustang

i found this on modded mustangs.com
Ted, 79-93 Mustangs use a 57 inch wide rear axle. 94-98 Mustangs use a 58.5 inch wide rear axle. 99 and newer Mustangs use a 59 7/8 inch wide rear axle. Lincoln Mark7 LSC, SVO Mustang and Fox Body Saleens use a 59.5 inch wide rear axle. Hope this helps.

plus i checked TRS and it said 51" housing (not with the axles or brakes) if any one knows the actual langth that would help, so im goin to find the axels to make it 5 lug and weld up new leaf spring plates and shock mounts where would i find them and what axles do i use i know its 2 of eather the right or left of the ranger axles, thanks

and bigblockford79 ill let you know if this dont work, if you thow me a price that would be kool

alright i checked the 8.8 mustang rear end by turning the axle and the drive shaft yoke spot turned 2 and 3/4 so its 2.73 i beleve and that wont work for my truck do to mine is 3.73 and its 4x4 so bigblockford79 it would be nice to get a price on those gears thanks
