7.5's under v8 power will work!! Works for me..should work for anyone else

I'm considering keeping the 7.5 in my '91 and running some taller gears, now that gas prices are headed for the sky. Planning less hp now, maybe 250ish. Can I get 3.08's or 3.31's and a LS into the 7.5? I'm hoping the tires will be the weaker link but I'll also be driving conservatively until I can afford to do otherwise.

My 7.5 is a 3.45. Axle code is 84.

x2 both my RBV's have the 3.45 ratios. Lowest ratio ive seen in a 7.5 but im sure there's more closer to 3.08

You'd be better off simply swapping in a Junkyard 8.8 that's already got 3.08's. It'll be cheaper and easier to do than a gear swap.
