Since we have a lot of classic car fanatics on here, I thought I would ask for your opinions. Here's the Clicky.

And here's the ad -

1968 Ford Galaxie 500 - $4000 (Waterford Lakes, Orlando)

1968 Ford Galaxie 500. Body has no rust and is in fantastic shape, lines all match up - rebuilt with original parts from other 68 Galaxies. Paint job is about 3 years old but as car has been sitting for three years it is brand new. New original styled windshield. Bench seats. 390 Big Block, High Lift Cam, Crane Cams electronic ignition system. Flowmaster exhaust system. Have some new parts for the car just don't have the time to fix it. I have the original Grill as well even though not currently attached.

Besides the bench seats this car has no interior. All of it was removed to be repainted and de-rusted. This car has been fixed the right way up to this point and I'm hoping to find someone who wants to continue fixing it the right way. Electrical system works except for the Gas gauge.

I've owned this car since 1996. This car will be a fantastic car when complete.

I think it looks pretty clean externally dude. I love me a good classic auto. You can fix up the inside. Maybe go a little lower on the price. Lemme know if you pick it up, I'm ridiculously close to Waterford. I'd love to meet another TRS member!

That's what I'm thinking, too. Interior's aren't too hard to do, but it's tough to find something with all of the body work done. Hopefully, I can talk him down to 3500-ish.

If that was a convertable....I would say YES!!!!!! I don't like that!!!! Sorry!!

If it was a convertible, I wouldn't have even considered it.

I had a red one with a big block and a four speed and duel 750 Holley doube pumpers with a black top and interior. It was so cool. Put down the top and criuse the beaches!!! Man...that car got lots of looks...more then my 68 Hemi 'Cuda at the time (late '70's). That old convertable of mine would still get lots of stares and turn lots of heads!!! Hard tops are a dime a dozen and just fugly....my .02 worth.

buy it. my 69 is rusted and falling apart and it still gets looks. they are so cool and so much fun to drive.

My first car was a '68 Galaxy 500. Check the frame, those years are notorious for the frame rusting out near the rear axle. Mine did.

I FAIL to see what is so special about that car? Why would it turn heads? IMO, I rather have a '65 Impala painted red.:dunno:

My uncle has a red '69 Impala convertable with a 396... it is more like driving a boat than a car. Everything is numb and mushy. :icon_confused:

Never been around a Galaxy though.

My brother has a 68 Impala...... It was my old mans, took it on a date in HS..... I could stretch out in the seat. I had to pay to get the interior detailed afterwards, but well worth the memories. Gotta love a big bodied car.
