Have almost everything I need for my 4" lift. I have coils, TTB drop brackets, pitman arm and almost completed ext. rad arms. All I need for the front is brake lines. But for the back I am trying to avoid blocks, and really I want to get rid the stock ones too. I was thinking of doing the Chevy 64 inch spring swap. My question is, do I have to have the springs re-arched to make them work? If I dont have them rearched how much lift will I get? And do I have to do a shackle flip?

And one last question, Will the springs from a mid 90's Chevy 1500 4x4 work?

Okay, so I found the article in the Tech Library and answered I few of my questions. I found out what truck to get springs from, I don't have to rearch the springs, and they are good for arounf 3"s of lift. I think I will probably leave the over loads for the extra 3/4 inch.

But I am still trying to figure out whether or not the rear hanger have to move back or be flipped, and whether or not the stock block must be used. Also, can the stock Ranger shackle be used?

Alright, the rear hanger stays at its stock location, it is the forward hanger that you move forward. The shackle will stay as it is with the shackle hanging down. A stock shackle can still be used, however the amount of flex gained from using an extended shackle is enormous. Also, by going to a longer shackle you may be able to delete the stock block.

Yup, the front spring mount goes 6" forwards.

Thanks. I have everything I need then, I may swap out the shackle down the road.
