64 chevy leaf and 8.8 explorer axle

I am collecting the parts for a 64" leaf and 8.8 explorer axle swap. I should have the axle in the next week or so and I have the leafs. What I am wondering is if I do the shackle flip but not change the spring pads on the axle will it work? I guess they call that spring over.What will be the difference in height. I am pretty sure I can get angle shims to correct the pinion angle. I want the articulation of the shackle flip. I am ordering the drop rear shackle from kartek and that will make it a little higher. I am also going to be disk brake in the rear and front.
