Would swapping in a set of chevy springs to get rid of the stacked blocks be worth doing on a truck that sees way more time on the street than off road???
Thanks
Beef

most people hate blocks. and flipping shackle will make the suspension alot softer. just make sure to read up on it do a search. im not sure which i think the overload leaf you remove for a soft ride. check it out.

if i put the chevy springs on im not going to do the shackle flip because i wouldnt sit level without the extra block then

I found the chevy leafs to ride a lot better than the explorer leafs I was running before.

Can you be more specific?
Im guessing you mean something like... They are softer, so they flex more, but not so soft they are sloppy on the road?

They flex a lot more. Frost heaves and holes in the road are much less jolting with the chevy leafs. They just have a smoother ride to them. They do not at all make for bad road manners.

That's what is in mine....88 chevy C1500 springs.

Dunno, I tossed mine for better flex.

I would imagine you would get whatever the thickness of them is in lift out them.
