right now i have a 4" lift with drop brackets in the front and block in the rear. my rear leafs were sagging so im going to put ex leafs along with a set of longer shackles. depending on how it sat i was thinking about either putting a spacer in the front or 6" coils, then it dawned on me " do i need longer drop brackets if i put 6" coils up front?" or would my current set up be able to handle that?

Does your brackets have two holes at the bottom? If so the lower hole is for 6in upper hole is for 4in:D

It really depends on the weight of the truck.
If yours is on the heavier side (Supercab, and/or has big heavy bumper & winch, etc.), then 6" coils on 4" brackets should work fine.

If the truck in question is a 4-cyl reg-cab shortbox with no accessories, then I wouldn't be so sure about it working.

heres some pics of my current bracket set up, no extra holes for the 6" and junkie, i dont have HD bumper yet i plan on getting one built soon, but for now 3.0 ex cab

Pretty sure they were referring to the axle pivot brackets, not the radius arm drops.

Simply being a Supercab, it should work fine though (the Supercab is probably a good 300lbs heavier on the front axle than a similar Reg-cab truck and would compress the coils a bit more).

oh... i feel like dumdum. well either way the set up i have should be able to handle 6" coils?

Also, go with the Skyjacker 6 coils, they have a softer spring rate than other manufacturers, and will ride/flex better. Plus the softer rate will work good for the slightly lighter 3.0L motor you have up front (as opposed to another brand which will be stiff as a tank).
