while lookin at tires, the clerk told me that she had 6 different tire sizes available for the 93 ranger. my question is, whats the largest size tire I can put on a stocker? When i see tires here for sale but their 31's or 35's, i'm not sure if i can fit them without a lift or something. I'm pretty sure the range is from 205 to 265 70 15's, so how does that relate to the 31's and 35's?

Yo,
In your 1993 ranger, you should be able to fit 31's without any trouble. 33's and 35's you will need some lift or a sawzall.

Yup, pretty much what he said ^^^

Gotta watch your gearing though, if you have a 4 cyl and 3.45 gears, for example, 31" tires are gonna suck. 31's should clear fine on a stock 93, 2wd or 4x4. I run 235/75/15s (30x9.50x15) on my Ranger all the time. There's info in the tech pages on here (see link at top of page) on how to ID what gears you have, what gears work best with what tires, and how to convert metric tire sizes to inch and vice-versa.

33's might fit with minor issue... I keep looking at my 33's for my choptop and my Ranger... one day I might just try it out. When that day comes, I may try fitting 35's an see how it works as well....

here is a calculator to convert english sizes to metric sizes (or vice versa)

don't forget your speedometer will be wrong if you dont have the proper size tires on your truck. oversize tires will make your speedometer read slow. your odometer will also read lower than actual. here is the speedometer calculator.

2wd or 4wd? A 265/75-15 is about a 31" tire.

on mine i fit 31's with no lift, however coil spring spacers will help against bottoming out, the best part is they are fairly cheap.
