jps ranger
New Member
Have looked through threads for this and can only find what I already know. I have a 84 ranger, 2.3L engine with a 5spd. For the 3rd time I have to replace the shifter as the ball at the bottom the shifter has worn out leaving me with no gears other than 5th. I do not want to spend over $180 at Ford for a new shifter when I just need the polyurethane ball that goes at the bottome of the shifter and into the little cup on top of the tranny. Does anyone just sell those or know how to make them? Please help. Don't have the money for a new one, and need truck running by Mon for work. Thanks
