5r55e swap

I recently put a used 5r55e from a 2000 4.0 ranger into my 2001 4.0 ranger. All went well until I realized there was no external turbine speed sensor on the 2000 model. Transmission shifts perfectly but I'm getting a flashing overdrive light. I scanned the code and it came up as "self test not complete". I'm stumped and can not figure this light out. It typically comes on at around 20-35mph. Any input would be greatly appreciated as I'm losing sleep over thi

Do you have the connector for the sensor coming out of your wiring harness? If you do put a jumper wire across the terminals and see if that takes care of it.
