Been a while since I was on the forum. Anyways its a 99. I lost reverse maybe a year year and half ago. Took it to a shop and had it rebuilt.

Bout 6 months ago I notice that when in reverse if there was any sort of a hill or if you didnt baby the throttle it would start to back u and then felt like it just popped outta gear. Drop it in Low Range and you can do what ever you want in reverse without issue.

Cant afford a tranny shop right now, and have no problems diving into this thing. Just looking for some ideas on what might be the issue.

Also recently in the morning GO out start the truck its running fine. Put it in reverse or drive and the first few mins of driving its kinda stuttering/jerking a lil. Once things warm up then were good to go. Once again Ideas?

The first problem sounds like a worn reverse band or clutch assembly. If it is slipping then it either doesn't have enough pressure to hold gear sets, or the holding members are worn out. The second problem sounds like low/nasty fluid. Is the fluid full? What color is it?
