I want to replace mine before I put the tube back in but I have no idea where to get one. Does the dealer carry this? Or does anyone know what size/type of O-ring is a suitable replacement?

I found it, I think. Ford part 87034-S94. I'll find out in a few days.

I've acquired a two "o-ring kits" over the years. There is an assortment of o-rings, diameters ranging from 1/8" to 1 1/2". They have come in handy numerous times.

OK, turns out this IS the correct o-ring for the transmission dipstick tube. Don't know if you guys have a part number FAQ here or anything but it took some googling to actually get that part number.
