Can somone please help me find the bolt torque sequence for my 5R44E pan. I need to change the filter and pan gasket. I'm no stranger to puters or the net, but I've been unable to find this info after several hours of searching. All help will be greatly appreciated. **First Post**

Welcome to TRS :)

I doubt if there is one, transmission pans have no internal pressure so any leaks would just be gravity leaks, like valve cover or oil pan gaskets

You can start by making sure pan is flat not warped, then put pan in place with a few bolts and put the rest of the bolts in place
Then start from the center and tighten bolts, alternating sides as you go, when you get to an end tighten all bolts on that end, when all are tight
Then go around in a circle making sure all are snug i.e. you didn't miss one, lol

Hi, thanks Ron! I'm just being over picky I guess. Comes with old age. What caused this journey, is I overheard a parts store employee reminding a customer to "be sure to...". I never have before, I thought I would find out. I'm not sure of the vehicle.
Thanks again for your help!

I do them kind of like a wheel.

I get the two center bolts on the sides snug, then move and do two opposite corners, one front, one rear. Then I move one by one around the pan, criss-crossing. I'll do the bolt behind the first corner, bolt ahead of the other corner. Once they are all snug I go around the circle and just make sure none are loose.

Oh thats not the numbers of the bolts, you just chant that 3 times to make the transmission fairy apear and then the transmission fairy does the work for you...

Update... In SC, you have to chant 'um four times. They're a tad bit slow to listen here.

My transmission fairy turned out to be heavily inbred with the fuk up fairy....

I just so this shit ony own now....
