(56k Warning)The new, improved 1992 v8 Ranger

wow that looks really nice man!

how much work is it to switch the 2.3 to the 5.0? is there a lot of mods you have to do to fit the engine in and make it mount properly? and will the 5.0 attach to the stock trans? at least until i got a replacement tranny. someday id like to do that swap to my truck.

again, thats an awesome truck!

i say leave it that high and get bigger tires

Not so much bigger tires, but a larger set of wheels for sure.

17" or 18" with 45 AR tires would look really good, and make the truck appear lower, I know the 17's on mine certainly did.
They will also help a ton with cornering, and depending on the wheels, show off those pretty drums.

Siiiiiick!

Have a set of slicks for the back?? :3gears:

yeah dude whats with the exaust???? i mean the truck looks AWESOME but that exhaust looks like it was just slapped on there last minute??

Nope, the exhaust is hugged as close to the leaf springs as I could get it(1/4" clearance).

If I went straight back, it would've pretty much hid the tubing, but everyone has trucks that come straight back, I wanted to do something a little different.

Like I said, I don't think the 3" lift will stay, probably a 1.5" lift will be in order.

Its a sleeper I bet it spins tires easily, nice build!!!

I won't find out until 500 miles, that's the recommended breakin time for the clutch. It's also got the stock MAF, cam, and injectors, so that will need to be "upgraded" next spring.

Thank you!

I'd like to get some black 5 spoke wheels sometime in the future, but for now, I got some stockers to burn off!:icon_thumby::3gears:

Don't know if anyones posted but if there is a way you could put some hangers to bring the exhaust a little closer to the body that'd make it look cleaner. overall still a bad ass truck. Personally i'd dump the exhaust downward right after the muffler.

in my opinion drive around randomly to break in clutch and then post some videos on youtube !! haha

Just wondering what type of plating that is across the bottom and how much and where did you get it from?

Really would like those specs on the radiator. That is exactly how i had planned on mounting the one in my truck. Is it adequate enough for the 5.0 in traffic?

you might try cutting the exhaust out of the passenger side at a 45 deg angle just before the rear wheel kinda like an svo or a lightning I did this on my V6 and it sounds great, looks good, and does not interfere with the rear wheels in any, way also it improves flow due to eliminating all of the bends going over the rear end, i figured it was good enough for svo and nascar,

Stainless steel rocker trim, I think it was $180(I could be wrong), I think JC Whitney or ebay.
