(56k Warning)The new, improved 1992 v8 Ranger

Not exactly sure what Iron Ranger used but it looks simular to the one jamesduff.com sells for V8 swaps fits into the core support.

scroll about half way down.

It's not James Duff, it's from a conversion set from Allstar Performance.

The radiator it came with does not fit the ranger very well in any way, it's as plain jane as it comes. If you look at the radiator photo, I welded the mounting tabs, petcock, cut bottom corners, re-located the filler neck also.

It works good for general idling with a 12" fan, but for excessive(city) idling, a larger or multple fans will be needed. She stays at around 188 degrees on the hwy and 195 at general idle.(190 degree thermostat)

Don't know if anyones posted but if there is a way you could put some hangers to bring the exhaust a little closer to the body that'd make it look cleaner. overall still a bad ass truck. Personally i'd dump the exhaust downward right after the muffler.

1. Like I said, it's as close to the leaf springs as it can possibly be. It's on hangers at the frame.

2. Turndowns at the muffler will cause corosion under the body with the exhaust fumes and such. The exhaust dumps are good enough for me.:icon_thumby:

Probably will get a different set of mufflers, these ones are a little too quiet.

u know....i would just order the same wheels in one size larger and a lil bit wider for the rear, run a larger tire, and drop it down to 1.5" on the body and she will look tits to the max

Yeah, future upgrades will ensue, just need to make sure everything is going to work like it's supposed to.

I found out that the rubber exhaust mounts stretched a little bit from bumps and such, so I'll have to take a weekend and re-adjust them to bring them closer to the body.

It sooooooooooooooooo clean and rust/dirt free! How did you do it? lol It looks amazing, except for the exhaust i must agree. sorry.

I would let the pipes go out to after the axle and dump them on either side right above the body and high heat paint the pipes black so its all hidden.

or you could do a couple of these!

you could put it on both sides either in the back or before the rear tires.
