I have a 1989 Bronco 2, 2 wheel drive. I’m trying to find a replacement rubber boot that fits directly on the transmission where the gearshift handle comes out.
the ones I find have a three bolt hole pattern. Mine has 4 bolts attaching it to the transmission. I don’t know if my Bronco has its original transmission.

The 3 bolt type are for M50D, you have the predicessor's manual either a Togo or the Mitsubishi.

I will keep my eyes open for a 2 wheel manual shifter boot.

You need the shifter or the boot?

The boot is the same between the FM146 and the M5OD trans..... the shifter is different.

Does that mean the 3 hole boot is the same as the 4 hole boot except for the bolt pattern?

What most of us call the boot, is the big rubber accordian-looking piece that mounts to the floor and comes up the shifter shaft to keep hot air, water, dirt, etc from coming up into the cab. It sounds like the 3 bolt piece you are referring to is actually part of the shifter and keeps dirt from falling down into the transmission.

Are you referring to this?:

If the answer is yes, then happy junkyard hunting for the FM146 one.
There is an
aftermarket shifter for the FM146. But, $300 for a shifter in a truck seems a bit silly to me. I'd probably take what I have and go to a good hardware store to see if they can come up with an o-ring or something to seal it back.

I need the same boot. The closest "might work" boot that I found surfing the web was on Tractor Supply's website, but I haven't checked it out in person yet.

Does anyone sell new replacement rear quarter glass gaskets?

It’s not a gasket that seals it off. It’s a windshield glue.
