Hello all,

I have a real quick question. I've rebuilt a stock 351w for my 87 Ranger, and I have two transmission options. I could put a C6 that I have in there, or a WC T5.

Now for my question, would the T5 be strong enough to handle the torque out of a stock 351w. If it would be, I know that I will need to do some fabrication to get the master/slave to work together perhaps these parts:

Slave Cylinder

Master Cylinder

Thanks!

i would run the c6, the t5 was never really strong enough behind a 302 much less a 351. the c6 will outlast your motor i can pretty much garuntee it.

is ther a five speed that will work behind the windsor? and would the transfer case hold up behind the c-6?

The ZF fivespeed in f150, 250s and 350s behind the 5.8 (351) should work, it's a pretty strong tranny.

You could also use a M5OD MR2 behind that motor not as big and bulky as the ZF.
