Well I just bought a 1994 Ranger 4.0 V-6 Super Cab 2wd with a 5-speed and the clutch needs to be pushed all the way down to dis-engage the engine from the tranny and re-engages within 1/2 inch of the floorbut the pedal will go all the away out but when you let it out slowly it acts as if your letting it off fast :3gears:

thank you-Will

Some just engage further down and harder than some. My dads ranger engages right near the floor, been the same since the 70,000 miles he's had it, just learn to drive it, it's not hard once you get used to it, I actually prefer it.

How do i get the shifter knob off
i have one from a mustang with the same shift pattern

Get a wrench underneath the knob and hit upwards with a hammer, they're tough but will come off eventually.

An open ended wrench and a fast moving hammer work wonders on removing them. Just be careful cause you can make that thing come off in a hurry! Dont want a black eye or anything...
