5 speed 4x4 trans

I'm getting ready for a 5.0 swap in my Ranger and was wondering what kind of truck to pull the trans and t -case out of. I looked at the tech area and it doesn't get very specific. It mentions the WC T-5 trans and a t-case adapter kit. Is that the Mustang T-5? Its just kind of confusing. Also, will the stock Ranger master and slaves work? It someone could make a simple list of what I need, that would be great. Thanks.

i used a m5od-2 from an f-150. i also pulles a borg and warner 1356 but it was too big to fit in my frame. had to use the ranger transfer case with an adapter from advanced adapters. to go from full size transmission to ranger transfer case.

Before you get to far into your project, better see what the wiring mess you are going to run into if going EFI. I don't remember anyone at any site doing a EFI swap into a Ranger later than an '04' because of the wiring changes.

I'm planning on redoing all the engine wiring and EFI system. I have thought about that part and have made some plans. And if it comes down to it, I'll get an older Ranger and leave mine alone, but I'd still need the trans.
