Hey Folks,
So i have been reading about wheel fitment for the 5" lift kit from Rought Country and I'm reading that some people have gotten away with running 15" and 16" rims with the kit. The RC website says that they need to be 17" or larger. i would rather run a smaller rim such as a 15 or 16, would I just need a high offset rim if I would go smaller?
Thanks

I don't think that would work right. I just looked at a picture of the components of the kit. It looks like the kit replaces the steering knuckles in order to move the spindles. This means the knuckles are larger. The bigger wheels are required so that the knuckles and brake calipers don't rub on the inside of the wheels. It would take an extreme amount of spacing and offset to get past that. Then you start running into other issues with tire fitment and bearing wear.

I would factor in what ericphoto said but go with the smallest rim you can fit without issues. The more sidewall you have for off roading the better to protect your rims and give you more flex over rocks and terrain. If 17" is the minimum, then you might be stuck going with that.
