Are those from the bellhousing to the pulley?

What about the Exploder 302? I know it has more tucked in accessories...

No idea on the Exploder 302 I had to look a couple of the other dimensions on other websites. :icon_thumby:

I'm looking into a lot of different swaps possibly for my Ranger. Does anyone have the dimensions on a 3.0 motor? That's currently what's in my truck and the engine cage is built around it. I'm planning on cutting the cage out, but I'm curious as to how much modification is going to be necessary for it.

I had to go out and measure but I got 30" from back of block to front of clutch fan. Also looked at the 302 with Hi-Po manifolds on it and it was only 22" wide from flange to flange. Said that those manifolds will fit the "P" heads.

Thats about right. I think they are somwhere around 1-1/2" to 2" shorter than the standard long pump. They put a whale of a fan/clutch on the Explorers.

I went from having 1/2" between the WP pulley and radiator with the long pump to about an inch between my slim flex fan w/ adaptor and the radiator with the Explorer pump.

I could measure the long pump easily, you can't hardly see the Explorer pump with all the brackets in place though. :annoyed:

Maybe I'll measure mine in the next few days, we just got 25" of snow... I'm not goin out there...

Okay, got a spare Explorer siting without the fan and such. From the cover mounting surface to the front of the pulley is 3.25". Bought a 302 crate short block awhile ago and it had the "short" water pump on it and it does measure 4.25, said to fit the 92 T-Bird and 94-95 Stangs. Comparison on that part and the normal dimension from the FRPP catalog.
