Soo I be looking to see if any of the masses has one floating round that they wanna get rid of or have no use of.

I'd like a 89-93 if possible but I be not picky as long as it runs I'm happy. I'd rather get a engine from a TRSer then a wreaking yard surprise.

Sooo if yall got one lemme know what you would want for it or if sjust shippin fees will do er

How set are you on "runs"?

I have a complete 88 (I think) 5.0. Upper intake to oil pan. Needs put back together and the crank is shot though.

What would I need to do to make that run?

be sure to do a write up with lots of pics showing how you swapped it into your little dodge colt!

I wouldn't need pictures for that one, I'd drive out just to see it. But, I suppose for the sake of those that aren't willing to drive out, pics would suffice.

dont tempt me boys but its a no go as i plan on parting with the colt as soon as its feasable

What would I need to do to make that run?

A week at a machine shop, a master rebuild kit, and a crank shaft. Might want to get a new oil pan too. It holds oil, but it's rusty and you live in the heart of winter country.

ouch spendy work wish i knew a machinist.

but the good thing its tore down:icon_thumby: so if i only end up needing teh hedz from it ya just gotta toss em in a box.

I got a '67 302 and a '78 302 that both need a full tour thru the machine shop. The '67 had '94 dated bearings and the '78 had late '77 bearings... it had never been opened up but was just politely worn out. Freight would cost more than a SBF is worth.

But there should be a lot of decent 302's between here and Bemiji. Patence is key when stalking a good engine. Took me 6 years to find what I think is a good one for a decent price when I had the money to get it.
