I drive a 97 Mazda B4000. I've had it some time and I love it.
I've been thinking about doing a 5.0L swap for sometime. But some guys I know have been telling me the power will do damage to the frame. Especially because of the way I drive, and the fact that I off road it daily.

I'm just looking for input on this, such as frame reinforcement or if it will even stretch or crack my frame? Also, if running a 5.0L, what kind of transfer case should I use? Would a C6 tranny work? I have one laying around that's built with a shift kit and it was out of a 94 F150.

I'm planning on a SAS with 1tons, I have a good hookup on junkyard parts.
And I'm wondering what kind of leafs I should go with. I've already decided that I don't want to 3link it. Where I live in Manitoba I don't need the flex, and for me leafs would be much easier. Should I just order leafs from trail gear, or take leafs out of the super duty i get the axles out of?

Sorry for asking so many questions, I just want as much input as I can get.
I also apologize if any of these questions are in the wrong thread.
