$ 5.00--5.50 gallon

There was a very good article writen over 25 years ago on who and what affects gas prices. One good example was of a tanker sitting off New Orleanes fully loaded with sweat crude. It gets sold to someone who then trades it as a poorer quality oil. Again it gets traded and is treated as a different quality. Article said the oil never moves but has changed it's quality 5-6 times before it hits the refinery. Good old comodity trading at it's best. I don't have it but will trade you for this. This Dave will echo the other Dave, Drill, Drill, Drill. Someone just sent me something about drilling in ANWAR.

Suck it up and keep driving. My Ranger gets between 25-27 mpg if I feather & short-shift the sucker.

I gotta drive to work to make money to pay my rent.

As for saving money elsewhere I have two words: RAMEN NOODLES!!!

You know, typically when people say "suck it up" it's because they have more to complain about, for instance, if you got 5 mpg, in your truck, you would say "suck it up, I'm not even complaining" when your weekly gas bill is 12$ because your truck gets some of the best mileage on the entire site, you don't say suck it up... That's the situation where a normal person would say "wow I get 27mpg, and I don't like these prices, I feel bad for the rest of you..."

So in this situation, when I get 15-17mpg, I'm going to tell YOU to suck it up and finish your lobster dinner

I have a good fix for the gas price issue EVERYONE is bitching about.

I know this doesn't help anybody, but I traded my Ranger for a Focus in December because I assumed this would happen and I was offered more for the Ranger than was being asked for the Focus.

I do miss my Ranger. It was the best vehicle I've ever owned. But the Focus isn't terrible and I can't really complain about $5/gallon gas if I'm going twice as far on a gallon.

If I had to guess a lot of people might start snatching up old Ford Escorts or Dodge Neons to save a little at the pump. Or, they may ignorantly buy a new car that gets better mpg without realizing they are still spending more than they would be if they kept their old car (due to car payment).

Seems like people complain about it a little then move on with their life.

the rising gas prices is why i bought the ranger itll get better mileage than my cammed 5.0 f150 with the m5od and 3.55 geared trac lok 8.8 screaming at 2400 rpm going down the interstate

You know what I'm going to do? Swipe my debit card three times instead of twice to fill my tank.
I hated that bullshit a few years ago, swiping my card twice pissed me off WAY more than the actual ridiculous price of fuel. Now I believe most places around here have raised the limit to $100.

the odd place up here has a $75 limit, but usually they are 100+ i've seen a couple of places that said $150

to heck with all these "sport" bikes... give me a nice 70's midsize inline twin.

hope and pray i have my motorcycle license, and my motorcycle put together

my 87 gets under 10 mpg no matter what (fugged up 2.3)
my 95 gets alot better being at 17ish with a bad maf and O2 sensors(4.0 ohv)
and no job as of now. :annoyed: :bawling:

this is what i've got, except mine's red, and i don't have the gold badge in the middle of the tank, same pinstriping though

funny enough, it doesn't do a whole lot better on gas than the ranger does... i'm in the low to mid 20's with the bike...

but it's parked, till i pull the front forks apart and fix the leak, replace my "low fuel" light (which is absolutely necessary, as my reserve switch doesn't work, and get a new rear tire

mine is a 1980's Suzuki Gs300L frame with a 450 motor all it needs is the carb tuned, exhausts, tank, and a seat

just a wee little motor, mine's a 1000 (61cui)
