$ 5.00--5.50 gallon

the more i think about it.. the more i realize, i'm gonna do what i'm doing now! school/work/church/gf's house.. work on my degree in finance and find me a good paying job that can afford my lifestyle! lol

Well for me I have parked my gas sucking ranger and started to drive my less gas sucking mustang. It also looks like I will be doing a buddy bid at work which lets me work 2 doubles and a single shift in three days and have four days off. It will save me about 240 miles a week.

i worked out my school schedule next semester to where i only have 3 trips to school a week.. compared to my now 6.. that'll help a lot to.

I am gonna rock down to Electric Avenue. Brought out and dusted off the plans for an Electric 4 door Sedan....... also going to contain a CNG Generator for road trips.

cng... cng... cng... that's natural gas right?

where do you get natural gas now a days? i honestly don't know of 1 station ANYWHERE that has it, though there is a possibility of one back home that might still have it...

even auto propane is hard to find now a days, but with a transfer hose, you can use your propane cylinders as a jerry can

you can get it. its not easy to find but its out there.

maybe down in the states, i don't think you can get it in canada any more...

it's funny, canada is all about being environmental, but we don't have flex fuel vehicles up here (not older ones that is, they started putting them out in the late 2000's) and you can't find auto propane or natural gas fuel stations any more...

though everyone has natural gas appliances in their house (some) virtually everyone in canada has a natural gas furnace and hot water tank...

i wonder can gwaii make a ranger that can run off piss?

Well, my Ranger is my daily driver, I drive about 40 miles round trip to work nearly all highway.... and I average just under 30 mpg. The best I've ever done in it was 33.4 once.

I think I'll be ok, but I might have to cut out some of the aimless-driving-while-smoking-cigars part. Guess I'll just have to burn my sticks on the way to and from work, since I don't want to smoke in my house.

is it bad i would rather smoke in my house, than smoke in my truck? lol

cng can easily be had at the house if you have the cash for a pump and you have ng for heat already.

may spend some coin on one

One thing that I've noticed is the fact that in relation to oil prices ($$ per barrel) gas prices seem higher than the last time oil was at this price level. One thing I'd love to see is the profit margin on a gallon of gas. Taxes and transport costs are one thing that can't really be changed, but I'd love to see how greedy Exxon-Mobil is.
I drive 34 miles round trip every day. I'm going to be discussing working more hours a day and coming to work fewer days per week with my employer. The way I see it buying fuel is a necessary evil and I don't even look at the pump price anymore.

Profit is based on percentage of selling price, not a fixed amount. So naturally as the price rises, so does the profit:

(simplified example)

$1 gas, 10% profit=10 cents. $4, 10% profit=40 cents.

I wish I had a 34 mile round-trip commute. 34 miles doesn't get me to work from my front door. I do 90 miles/day, round-trip, 5 days a week.

Do the math.

Problem is not greedy oil companies or speculation, that the bed-wetting liberals love to scream about. The problem is the jackass in the White House preventing us from drilling our own oil and satisfying at least PART of our own demand, beacuse he wants to push some gay-ass 'green' energy solution that won't work no matter how many wet-dreams the libs have about them.

Screw that. Drill here, drill now. Shove that windmill up your ass, Zero.
