I have a 2000 ranger 4x4 with a 3.0 the donor is a 98 explorer 5.0 the speed sensor is on the trans the speed sensor on the ranger is on the rear axle how do I make the swap do I need to do anything with it also where is the pits located in the explorer
thanks wayne:shout:

98~2001 Explorer and 98~2000 Ranger VSS is on the rear axle. The speedometer would work the same as it does now after the swap. No changes required.

98~2001 Explorer PATS uses the same basic parts as a 99~2000 Ranger V6. If the PCM, PATS Module and keys from the same Ex donor are used, it should all work together immediately. If parts are a mixed group from the Ranger and/or various Ex donors, they have to be "introduced" using a dealer tool.

The PATS Module is above the glovebox, forward of the passenger airbag.
