About to finalize my wiring on this 98 explorer 5.0 swap but i cant seem to find the correct place to slice into the Tach, Oil pressure gauge and ECT gauge on my 93 ranger. I have studied AllData pretty hard but to no avail. Where is the correct place to splice the wires from the explorer 42 pin connector into the 93 ranger harness?

Right at the bulkhead main connector . May have to add a ground to the back of the tach. In the end the tack was always off by 2-500 rpm so I installed a lil tach . I have a bunch of pic in my build thread .

The oil ,coolant ,battery, fuel still work just use the ranger sensors if you can . To keep the right sweep . My speedo worked also but cable melted on my tri-y's

been skimming your build thread. truck looks good and a good write up so im going to pick your brain some.

i located the W/R wire for the Oil pressure gauge on one of the ranger connectors. When splicing with the DG/W wire from the EX i get nothing. However when i ground the W/R wire manually the gauge then goes to normal. my voltometer says that the DG/W is grounded when the engine is running but its not tripping the gauge on the dash for some reason.

Let me break out my wiring diagrams but front from what I remember I splice front the 42 straight to the bulk head connector that was yellow if I remember right . I have all my diagrams printed and put up just for things like this .
