i recently swapped expo motor and tranny into my 98 2wd ranger. everything went smoothly i swapped the power steering hoses and cooler, the problem i am having now is the truck is hard to steer almost like the power steering is working against me. any help please

Did you use the ps pump from the ranger, or the explorer?

explorer, i don't think the ranger pump will bolt up. Will the expo steering rack work in the ranger

I think that the presure out put of the pumps may be differnt . On the pump that you are not useing see if the fitting on the pressue side is removeable if so change them.

Is all of the air out of the system? You can bleed it by turning the wheel from lock to lock several times.

yes the air is out, i did some research and found that the valving may be different on the 4 cylinder steering rack, so i will be swapping racks and hopefully this will be my fix, thanks
