that is a huge hole just for a t5 i think i will stick with my m5od plan just gotta hunt one down junk yards are wanting crazy money for ones with 200k on them
You can't swap in the starter directly from the automatic Explorer. You need a manual starter like the one in a 96 5.0 F150 manual truck or equivalent. It will fit the Ex 5.0/R2 combo by using a matching starter index plate, 164T 302 flywheel and 11" clutch that will interchange with the same 96-style F150.I wonder if the starter would be the same from the expo to the m5odr2 I could always change the head on the starter I will be sure to post about that when I figure it out
