i read the forums and did my reasearch before buying this kit for my 97 explorer 5.0 engine in my 98 ranger, i bought a trickflow 360 hp top end kit and a 2003 m5r2 from a 4.2L 4x4 f150 and i bought a hurst shifter for a m5r1 and modified the transmission shift housing to fit it and it works also have a sct tuner, msd coils, 75mm throttle body and 24 lbs injectors

i thought that the ex motor was the same as a 5.0 ho motor but was reading the lobe seperation angle is a problem with the ex, i have the cam installed with the motor put partially together and dont want to switch it if i dont have to, the lobe seperation angle is 112 degrees on the cam i installed with .499 valve lift, will this came work or do i have to replace

There will be no mechanical issues. People refer to the stock Explorer ECU having issues after swapping a cam. I'm sure you could successfully tune it.
