so i have manual hub on my b2 and since we finally got snow today it got me wondering if i could leave my hubs locked in without it being in 4. would it damage the hubs at all?

np. its one of those things that if its always snow you can get away with, but any dry pavement will add wear and tear. if the diff is open and you drive it around in 2wd, you may not have a problem though.

It's fine... A lot of guys do this, I've done it too.

ok good cause i hate having to get out every time i hit a really bad patch although i like manual hubs more and i dont mind bringing down the mpgs cause im only gonna be using it in town

with the d28 they didnt last as long as d35 as far as consumable parts.

2 hi on the dri is fine though, just remember to do frequent inspections.

yea i will and does anyone know where to find the manual warn hubs cause i cant seem to find them online and are they good to get

i lock mine in the first big snow of the year and leave them locked in until the weather gets good again. i have always done this, all my buddies do it, and my dad and grandpa did it for years. never heard of any problems it caused

If I know snow is coming the day that I'm driving, I lock it and don't unlock until the roads have cleared.
