We have a crown vic motor and a mustang motor that we have been using for mock up but its got room for a 351 so we will see what happens...

we had The first race of the More season today and the new truck was not ready so I ran my prerunner just to get me some points for starting and hopefully finishing. When we pulled up for staging we ran into a major issue. My fuel transfer switch was stuck closed and wasn't returning fuel into the rear tank so it was building up pressure(over 100psi and its supposed to be 40) so I was flooding the motor, took about 10mins of messing with the switching valve to get it running so we started late and had to pass a lot of slower vehicles. Halfway threw the race I hit the front end hard and smashed a rock into the front suspension pushing the drivers beam mount back into the passengers beam making them hit eachother when the passengers suspension came up, amazing it 'self clearanced' itself and by the last lap I could hardly tell the front end was bent only rubbed if I bottomed out so we were still able to hold a pretty solid pace and finished with only one for fuel and other to change a flat tire. Out of 18 starters we finished 2nd and hardly saw anyone all day because of starting late,so had no idea how we were doing until we got to the finish and could not believe them when then said we were 2nd.

Thanks dude. Another angle on the front suspension. It's gonna take some work to rebuild this. It's gonna need both beams and the drivers side bracket replaced. The $300 bucks prize money I won should cover that right ? LOL

Cangrats! What happened to your axle shaft?

I broke it trying to drive in front wheel drive at the baja 1000 after giving my dad my rear 3rd member, it was broken and blocked off before we even started this race. Lol ran the entire 200 miles race that way.

are the pivots going to need replaced too?

I think just the drivers pivot and beam need to be replaced but I've had a complete d44 sitting in my backyard for about a year now that I've been wanting to build so I'm going to replace both beams.

Man I just read up on the whole thread. that's a great prerunner and a great race truck. Do you race at the fire bird track in Arizona at all? My girlfriend races short course with a class 1 limited buggy. If you are ever out there I wanna stop by and get a closer look at your trucks. I have an 88 Bronco 2 that I've been slowly turning into a desert truck right now i still have stock 4x4 suspension and motor. the motor has been worked and rebuilt already but the interior and suspension need work next. I want to cut and turn my TTB and truss the rear. I'm doing all my homework now before I even get the money saved up.

This thread has given me tons of inspiration. but honestly I don't know how it will work on a B2 since the wheelbase is a lot shorter. My trussing will have to be shorter. and custom drive shafts will have to be made I'm sure. I noticed the coil overs are mounted to the radius arms, why not mount them to the beams directly? or was that just an easy solution?
