need to remove 5 speed from 2002 4x4 4.0 any tips would help.

and i found orange/white wire to transfer case broke. what does this wire do? i know i need it but i am curious
the wire goes to the stepper motor

I know I did an auto and you're doing a stick, but for a stick there are alot of similarities to how the job is done, with a stick you have to disconnect the shifters and the clutch line, I think the clutch line requires a quick disconnect tool. & the clutch & pressure plate only goes on one way. best to replace the clutch & slave cylinder while you have the trans off the truck
