I had the other 4x4 help question and anyways regarding the first question to give more insight My father sold me his Ranger he switched to manual locking hubs after the automatic hubs broke and took it out in the snow during a storm the following winter and everything engaged and he said when he went to disengage it wouldnt go out of 4wd then after like ten more trys it kinda slamed outa 4wd any other ideas in reference to my first Question!! thanks

Is there a reset on the 1993 ranger 4wd module behind my seat??? if so what does it look like :icon_confused:

He has to stop the truck, drive in reverse for a couple feet or more. Then it should release teh stress off the driveline and allow it to shift out of 4 lo . Tell him to also ustilize the tech library and look up the shift motor cleaning writeup.

Automotive modules don't have "reset" buttons like home computers do.

The reset on that module looks a lot like hooking the battery and then going and doing something else for an hour.
