4x4 help please

my 1995 ranger needed a t case motor so today i installed a new one now when you turn the switch the 4wd and 4 high lights flash on the dash for a bit then they go off and no 4wd i check fuses but im out of ideas. thank you for any help

ok this might sound dumb but i droped the shift motor and broke the blue end cap that wires run into i broke a little pice off of it and it cracked in another place could this be my problem

Could definitely be the problem because that cap is where the motor position sensors are that tell the module where the motor is and what to do.

Try disconnecting the battery for a while. My friend pulled his motor off to regrease it and the lights flashed after he put it back on. After disconnecting the battery, it seemed to reset itself and works fine. Won't cost you anything to try it.....
