does anyone know if the body mount point for the explorer and ranger are the same??? i thought of a super easy way to fix my "gangsta lean" on my ranger and possibly end up with 4wd if it will work. so lemme know what yall think on this. this idea is thanks to my buddy

I'm pretty sure I've heard "Not even close." before. Apparently the rear is wider.

Just for a referance the spring mounts on the axle are the same distance apart from a Ranger to an Explorer. The springs are mounted to the outside of the frame on a Ranger and under the frame on an Explorer.

You can't drop a Ranger body on an Explorer frame.

Sure You can drop a ranger cab on an explorer, you can do it with out even removing the explorer body, It will just be a double decker

^^^What he said. The leaning is natural on Rangers..the gas tank causes that...lol. Mine has done that just a bit of leaning to the left since new. A buddy fixed his lean by putting a bit taller lift block on the left side of his leaf springs. He said it has not caused any issues since he put it on 7 years ago. His truck has no lean. I thought about doing that to mine as well...just have not done it yet. I usually carry a couple of sandbags in the right side the the bed and the lean is not noticeable at all.

Anything can be done with enough time and money. I know someone who put a ranger body on a blazer frame for his v8 "swap".

You can off set a little be buying a bedside spare tire mount, put on the right front inside corner of the bed there about $40, just get one that locks depending on your tire size you could pick up 30lbs on it
