Shopping for a 2000 Explorer, and found a great white one nearby. Only problem it has is that when it is switched from AUTO to 4x4 LOW, it creaks and sounds awful. The test drive was on a snowy/icy Pennsylvania road. It wasn't tested in 4x4 HIGH. It comes from the front end. The owner recently switched 3/4 wheels, and couldn't get the front right one off. The tread is significantly less. (Not sure if that would make a difference.) 4.0 OHV motor. Thanks for any replies!
