4x4 92 Ranger

Hey, i'm new here, got an awesome four wheel drive stick Ranger, but it aint really four wheel drive now, it's out, but it's still awesome, wondering what might be wrong wit the four wheeler drive, it's push button and the light doesn't even come on at all, me and my dad checked the motor on the transfer case, and it wasn't getting eletricity through the wires. Got any suggestions.
