Where are the 4x4 fuses? Under the hood (pwr dist box, checked it) and where else?
My issue is that i have both my 4wd lights on (Hi and low range) and yet my 4x4 doesnt work, pretty bad timing too since its been snowing real good! Help!
Thanks!

if you have both lights on , you have a bad hub .

Yo,
Probably hubs. However to answer your question, there are also fuses beneath the steering wheel near the e-brake.

I have manual hubs and locked or not the 4wd doesnt work. I cant even get the lights to go off.

Should be by the battery.

Ok heres an update. Today drove around a bit, still had lights on. Later on went out to my truck to head home and noticed aftera while that the lights had finally gone off so i thought i might have 4wd back. Got home, stopped, locked the hubs and got back in the truck. Hit the 4x4 button and nothing. no lights or anything same for low range. So is this basically just a shot shift motor?

Damn, it's really hard to tell. You find those fuses? I just think you need to clean the shift motor personally. I took a shot at it and mine has worked flawlessly since.

Well i only found the one under the hood and wasnt told where others are.

There is one under the hood by the battery compartment and there is one in the fuse box in the cab under the steering column. The fuse in the box under the column i believe is for the dash push buttons. If you need a new push button mine is for sale on ebay. It is from a 94 ranger as well. If you want it, I'll send you the fuses from my truck too. Good Luck

PS: The truck owners manual has the reference guide for figuring out which fuses are which. I have had many problems with my electronic push button and wound up putting the manual t-case in. The shift Motor was a $100 and all the parts and the transfer case with the core charge was $90 from the junkyard. A t-case swap is not a teribly difficult task to perform either. Just something to consider. Happy New Year

I dont think its the switch. It was working and the lights where on on it so it must have had power.

Sorry for the confusion. I thought if the LED blinked, it was good. It's if the LED Glows. You seem to have a shot contol module. Good Luck

What?!? Ok so a blinking LED means no good? That sucks. Where do you get one and about how much?

Ford Dealership would be most likely to have one. Junkyard. Maybe Napa can special order an aftermarket one. Juankyard would be the cheapest route.
