4wd issue

No, no. A blinking LED means it's good -- from the page:

2. If all the fuses are good, the next step is to run the 4x4 module self diagnostic. The 4x4 module is located behind the driver’s side rear jump seat on super-cab models, but as far as the other locations I don’t really know. This module will have three connectors going to it – one will be a pig tail, the other two will be located on the right side of it (side towards the front of the truck). These two connectors must be removed to diagnose the module. With the key in the off position, remove these two connectors from the module. Next, turn the key on with the engine off. On top of the module is a white rectangular button located next to a red LED….push the button and watch the LED.
a. If it flashes, this indicates the module is working properly. Go to the next step

wait i just read those self diagnoses things and it said blinking means good.

fuses for switch

the fuse for your switch is under the dashboard/steering wheel. It's the #7 fuse, a 15 amp fuse. should be blue in color

Hey thanks merc. Just checked it the other day and it was good. As well as the pwr dist box fuse. I ordered in and bought a shift motor from work the other day, so when its dry and warm enough i will get under there with a DMM and prob around. What wires do I need to check for power and all? And what do you stick in the connector other than fatty test leads?
Thanks!

Well shit I tried it on my truck and totally had a brain fart. I forgot to dissconnect the pig tail connectors. Shit, my bad STX. Yes I was right the first time, if it blinks it's good. Check and make sure all the male side connectors of the shift motor connector are pushed in all the way. I've had one pushed back out of its grove one time and it threw my system out of wack. Just an idea. Yes check any fuse and realy possible.

Man it sucks not having 4x4 but its been just to cold to do anything. Next warm day ill check fuses again, relays, and last resort change that shift motor.
