ive been looking into converting my 94 into a 4wd. i plan on going with the ttb 4x4 system that came on the trucks stock. i know i need the front axle, front driveshaft, and transfercase. is there any other parts i need? also has anyone else done this style swap before?

Engine crossmember and tranny.

Easier to sell the truck and buy a 4wd.

is there any way to keep my transmission and put the transfer case on it or use a divorced transfer case

financially it would be smarter to find a 4x4 theres no doubt about it....if youre patient enough, more than likely u can find a good deal.....definately go pre-97 though....i cant stand how limited i am by my torsion bars...the SAS im planning is goin to kick my ass lol

yes there is?....a few years ago i converted my 1988 ford ranger 2wd into a 4wd and all you need to do is find the same exact truck as yours and just take the running gear from the four wheel drive truck and transplant it to your truck that you are gonna keep.... the only thing that you really need to watch out for is the size of your motor(bigger motor= bigger cross member for mounting your motor) and you also need to shorten your rear drive shaft....its also better if you take the motor, tranny, and transfer case all from the 4x4 truck and just do a easy swap... it took me about a couple months to swap motors from an original 2.0L to a 2.3L motor(time constraints for my schooling) and when your ready to swap motors your gonna need to cut and remove the old cross member and weld the bigger cross member on(there is gonna be a lot of grinding of the big rivets) if you need any help with info you can call me at 360-840-2725

I found a donor truck with the same engine and body style that had been rolled and swapped frames... much easier than screwing with the engine cross member
